The Triforce of Power is one third of the Triforce, representing power. This piece of the Triforce is held by Ganon, who first obtained it in Ocarina of Time.
This relic was left behind by Din, one of the three Goddesses responsible for creating Hyrule.
The Legend of Zelda
The Triforce of Power appears as the magic artifact that Ganon stole.
The Adventure of Link
The Triforce of Power was obtained from Ganon back in The Legend of Zelda along with the Triforce of Wisdom. After Link obtains the Triforce of Courage from the Great Palace, Link uses the three Triforce pieces to awaken the sleeping Princess Zelda.
A Link to the Past
After defeating Ganon, Link uses the full Triforce to bring peace to Hyrule.
Ocarina of Time
After Link opens the Door of Time and removes the Master Sword from its pedestal, Link is sealed away within the Sacred Realm for seven years. Ganondorf uses this opportunity to enter the Sacred Realm and claim the Triforce; however, upon touching the sacred relic, it splits into three pieces, only the Triforce of Power, the piece which Ganondorf most believed in, stayed within his hand.
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages
Link travels to the castle holding the Triforce which informs Link of his destiny in Holodrum and Labrynna.
The Wind Waker
Ganondorf still holds the Triforce of Power which he obtained in Ocarina of Time. He continues to seek the Triforce of Wisdom and the Triforce of Courage. Just before the final fight, Ganondorf successfully re-assembles the Triforce in its entirety; however, Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule makes his wish before Ganondorf, sending him into a relentless rage against Link and Princess Zelda.
Twilight Princess
After Link was sent back to his childhood in Ocarina of Time, he warned the Royal Family of Ganondorf's intentions. Ganondorf was imprisoned within the Arbiter's Grounds in Gerudo Desert and sentenced to death. After having a sword plunged deep into his chest, the Triforce of Power resurrected his lifeless body. Ganondorf broke free of his chains and killed the Water Sage. The other Sages imprisoned him within the Twilight Realm. At the end of the game, Link plunges the Master Sword into the wound on Ganondorf's chest. The Master Sword appears to neutralize the effect of the Triforce of Power preventing it from keeping him alive. The Triforce of Power leaves Ganondorf and he dies on his feet.
Skyward Sword
The Triforce of Power is located within Sky Keep beneath the Statue of the Goddess on Skyloft. It is required to eradicate The Imprisoned permanently from the world.
A Link Between Worlds
After Yuga successfully turns all of the Seven Sages and Princess Zelda into portraits, he uses them to ritually resurrect Ganon who is still in possession of the Triforce of Power. The two merge, forming Yuga Ganon.
