"A single-edged sword seldom seen in Hyrule. This weapon is passed down through the Sheikah tribe and has an astonishingly shape edge ideal for slicing."

Breath of the Wild In-Game Description

The Eightfold Longblade is a Sheikah-made two-handed weapon found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Eightfold Longblades have a base power of 32, and can be found in various chests across Hyrule. They appear to be a two-handed counterpart of the Eightfold Blade, dealing much more damage, but the sacrifice is that Link is unable to use a Shield whilst wielding this heavy blade. It bears resemblance to an Ōdachi samurai sword, with its curved design and long, razor sharp blade.

It has a unique charge attack, which is a horizontal slash, rather than the Great Spin Attack, which is commonly shared by every other two-handed weapon in the game. The only other weapon that shares this trait is the Windcleaver, which is similar in design and size.

It is found behind Lady Impa's Hall submerged under the water at the base of the falls. You can stand on the two small boulders near the chest, then use magnesis to pull the chest up. Guide the chest to the ledge above your left under Lady Impa's Hall. Then you can climb up there to safely open your chest.

Eightfold Longblades are a weapon type available only to Link, used with his Two-Handed Weapon moveset.

Instead of a Windcleaver, Yiga Blademasters now use a decayed Eightfold Longblade, with which they can still cleave the wind. The decayed variant has a base power of 8, but by completing The Yiga Clan Exam side-adventure, Link can gain access to an undecayed variant, distinguished as "Eightfold Longblade✨" and possessing a base power of 23. These can be obtained from the Yiga Blademaster Station in Gerudo Canyon.

Both versions excel at delivering fatal sneakstrikes, dealing twice the usual damage for a 16x modifier. With a Molduga Jaw fused on, a Lv3 Attack Up meal and Bone Proficiency Up, a undecayed Eightfold Longblade can deal a nuclear 2365 damage in one hit, the highest possible single-hit damage in the game, annihilating anything vulnerable to the technique.
