The Ancient Tech Labs are two buildings in Breath of the Wild that are inhabited by Sheikah researchers.
Overview
The two tech labs are Purah's Hateno Ancient Tech Lab and Robbie's Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
Each has a furnace that is lit with a Blue Flame and a telescope on the top; but in both cases, when Link finds them after his hundred-year sleep in the Shrine of Resurrection, the furnace has failed and must be relit from the nearest Ancient Furnace.
Reactivation of the furnaces will provide a travel gate at the front of the labs.
