Wooden Box
This article is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it. |
Boxes and crates are found in some games, including Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. They are related to jars, as Link can smash both to get small goodies.
Locations and Uses
Boxes and crates are not found in remotely every building as are jars, but they are found in some buildings and homes. Link can cut, smash, or break boxes and crates to get small, random goodies such as Rupees, Recovery Hearts, bombs, and arrows.
Appearance
Boxes and crates look very similar, if not the same, in every game. They are brown or tan, cube-shaped, and have some sort of marking on them -- usually an 'X' shape or a cross.
How to break a Box
You can smash a box by rolling into it. Or, as Goron Link in Majora's Mask, you could Fire Punch them or Goron Pound them to break them. Sword strikes, slingshots, and arrows are not effective in breaking a box or crate. However, a bomb or Powder Keg may blow them up, revealing a hidden goodie.
