The North Castle is a location from The Adventure of Link.
The Adventure of Link
The North Castle is where Link begins his quest to return the Crystals to the six Palaces and remove the Binding Force sealing the Great Palace. After the Magician cast the eternal sleeping spell on Princess Zelda I, she was placed here by the Prince of Hyrule. If Link loses all of his lives, he will start back at the North Castle.
Upon obtaining the Triforce of Courage from the Great Palace, Link returns to the North Castle to awaken the sleeping Princess Zelda.
