"Legend says this tunic was worn by a hero who explored a mysterious island that one could visit but not leave. The item makes one want to wear it but also not wear it."
The Tunic of Awakening is a findable legacy Zelda item in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Tunic of Awakening has a base defense of 3, and can be obtained by scanning the Link (Link's Awakening) amiibo, through the use of the amiibo Rune. Scanning the amiibo will drop various items from the sky, along with a treasure chest, which has a chance of containing the Tunic of Awakening, but can also contain different items. The amiibo can only be scanned once per day.
The Tunic of Awakening can also be obtained from the Ancient Columns Cave atop the Rayne Highlands in the Tabantha Frontier, which can be accessed when Link steps on a barely noticable switch inside a column close to the entrance. A Flame Gleeok inhabits the central part of the Ancient Columns area, but can easily be avoided; the cave entrance is more towards the perimeter of the columns.
Armor Set
The Hero of Awakening Set, which is new to Tears of the Kingdom (also including Mask of Awakening and Trousers of Awakening) offers the Attack Up bonus.
Enhance Path
Enhancing Armor requires that you have unlocked as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level.
