Functionality
Link amiibo has functionality in Legend of Zelda titles.
- Breath of the Wild - Summons Epona. After Link has already summoned Epona, the Amiibo will drop an assortment of fruit, such as Hydromelons, Wildberry, Voltfruit, Palm Fruit, Mighty Bananas, Apples, or Acorns. It will will also drop a treasure chest which could contain items from the Hero of Twilight Set, which includes the Cap of Twilight, Tunic of Twilight, and Trousers of Twilight. The treasure chest could also contain a variety of weaponry.
The amiibo functions identically in Breath of the Wild to the Link amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series.
