Swords and Upgrades
Four Sword

Master Sword

Hurricane Spin

Inventory
Unlike in most Zelda games, only one inventory item in Four Swords can be held at a time by each Link. All Links start a stage with a shield, and can switch the item they currently hold at an Item Pedestal. Only a limited number of items are available in a stage, and it is not always the case that there is enough of an item type for every Link.
Bomb

"Use bombs to damage enemies and to blast open holes in suspicious-looking walls. Press the A button to light bombs and press the A button again to throw them. You can press the A Button again after bombs land to set them off quickly."
Boomerang

"Use this weapon to attack enemies from a distance. You can also use this to retrive hard-to-reach Rupees and hearts. Some enemies might even get stunned when hit..."
Bow and Arrows

"Press the A button to nock an arrow and release the button to shoot the arrow. Press and hold the A Button longer to build up power in the Bow–you can then shoot a more powerful volley."
Chain Chomp (BowWow)

Note: In the original, GBA, version of the game, the Chain Chomp item is called BowWow after Madam MeowMeow's pet from Link's Awakening.
Gnat Hat

"Wearing this hat shrinks you down in size! There are some areas that only insect-sized players can enter."
Magnetic Glove
- Main article: Magnetic Glove
"With this item equipped, you can use magnetic power to repel yourself from or pull yourself to a nearby magnetic block. Every time you press the A button, the glove reverses polarity. You can also use this item to attact other players."
Pegasus Boots (Pegasus Shoes)

"These legendary shoes allow you to run fast and dash up slippery slopes."
Roc's Cape

"This magical mantle allows you to jump. Press the A button in midair to spread your Roc's Cape and coast a little further."
Shield

Fairy

Heart Container

"When you find a Heart Container, your maximum number of hearts increases by one. An increase in hearts lasts for the duration of the next level only."
Small Key

Rupee

"There are three different colours of Rupee and two different sizes. The value of a rupee depends on its size and colour.
- Green: 1 Rupee
- Blue: 5 Rupees

Rupee Shard

Worthless individually, collecting four in one stage gives 500 rupees.
Black Rupee

Other
Silver Keys

Obtained by completing Talus Cave, Sea of Trees, and Death Mountain; each with 1000+ rupees. All three are required to open the Silver Door of Vaati's Palace.
Golden Keys

Obtained by recompleting Talus Cave, Sea of Trees, and Death Mountain after completing the Silver Door path of Vaati's Palace; each with 3000+ rupees. All three are required to open the Golden Door of Vaati's Palace.
Hero's Keys

Obtained by recompleting Talus Cave, Sea of Trees, and Death Mountain after completing the Golden Door path of Vaati's Palace; each with 5000+ rupees. All three are required to open the Hero's Door of Vaati's Palace.
