A Snapper is an enemy that appears in Spirit Tracks. Their first appearance is as a mini-boss in the Ocean Temple, but later on they also appear as regular enemies.
Snappers use whips identical to Link's. The whip makes close combat nearly impossible, making normal sword attacks difficult. Link can use the Boomerang to stun it from behind, or a normal long ranged weapon as well. If a Snapper has Link in its grasp, he can wait until it cracks him towards it, then attack with the sword or use a spin attack.
