The Legend of Zelda features many Secret Rupee Locations scattered across Hyrule. Secret Rupees come in three different denominations: 100 rupees, 30 rupees, and 10 rupees. This page shows the location of the Secret Rupee Locations in the First Quest, as well as the Secret Rupee Locations for the Second Quest further down.
First Quest
Amount: 100 rupees.
Location: Northeast corner.
Conditions: None.
- From the start screen head right one screen, up five screens, right five screens, up one screen, and right two screens.
- There is a hidden stairway at the top of this screen within the rocks. Move around the top just right of the entrance to the cave here and you'll go up to the next screen.
Amount: 100 rupees.
Location: Southeastern Hyrule.
Conditions: After obtaining the Blue Candle or the Red Candle.
- From the start screen head up one screen and right four screens.
- In the central trees, use the Candle to burn the one third from the left at the bottom.
Amount: 100 rupees.
Location: One screen right of the Lost Woods.
Conditions: After obtaining the Blue Candle or the Red Candle.
- From the start screen head up one screen and left five screens.
- Use the Candle to burn down the tree that is third from the top.
Amount: 30 rupees.
Location: One screen southeast of Level 1: The Eagle.
Conditions: After obtaining the Blue Candle or the Red Candle.
- From the start screen head right 1 screen and up 3 screens.
- Use the Candle to burn down the tree in the top-right corner.
Amount: 30 rupees.
Location: One screen northeast of Level 2: The Moon.
Conditions: After obtaining the Bombs.
- From the start screen head right one screen, up five screens, and right five screens.
- Place a Bomb against the rocks at the top of the screen.
