The Deku Mask is a Mask in Majora's Mask.
Overview
The Deku Mask resembles a Deku Scrub. It is one of the four Transformation masks that Link can obtain. Link will receive the Deku Mask after he learns the Song of Healing and returns to Hylian form.
The Deku Mask is strongly implied to contain the spirit of the Deku Butler's Son. When worn, Link will transform into Deku Link, taking the form of the Deku Butler's Son and gaining new abilities. Link can remove the Deku Mask to return to his true form.
Other appearances
This section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon. |
Hyrule Warriors
In Hyrule Warriors, the Deku Mask can be obtained as an alternate costume for Lana. It was added to the Wii U version with the Majora's Mask Pack DLC.
The Deku Mask also appears as an Item Card on the Termina Map. When used on Deku Flowers, it enables the warrior to cross gaps, removing locks on adjacent squares.
Cadence of Hyrule
In Cadence of Hyrule, The Deku Mask is the default weapon used by Skull Kid; In both Story Mode and Symphony of the Mask, he will begin the game with the mask. While wearing the Deku Mask, Skull Kid attacks with headbutts, functioning identically to the Short Sword and Dagger, and has the ability to spit Deku Nuts at the cost of Stamina.
Trivia
- In the January 2001 issue, Nintendo Power held a contest, where the second-place prize was a copy of Majora's Mask and one of five ceramic replicas of masks used in-game; The Deku Mask was among these.[1]
