::: Thank you very much, it worked! I'll try to add more to the gallery too. Also we should work on the CD-I Ganon sprite files, as the sprite files we have labeled as Ganon are actually Goronu from the Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon! We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?
- Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
- Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
- Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
- If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
- Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
- Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
- Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
- Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
- Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.
We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.
Do you have any initial questions? Feel free to ask on one of our staff talk pages.
Thanks again for joining! Can't wait to see you around!

article help
i need help with making [gloom's lair] and orgin Wyldecat (talk) 05:15, August 13, 2023 (UTC)
- If you're going to make an article for an area, I would base them using a template from a similar area. It looks like Gloom's Approach is the closest one, you just need to copy the contents of the source (in the edit page) then paste it into the article you want to create, then change all the respective values and descriptions to match what is accurate for Gloom's Lair and Gloom's Origin, and remove anything that is irrelevant before saving. --Charitwo (talk) 18:20, August 13, 2023 (UTC)
map question
Hey, I just joined literally two seconds ago, with the sole purpose of pointing out that there is no Cave Entrance marker on Rabac Island, north of Darunia Lake, near the Jiotak Shrine. I've been using the ZD.net map to hunt down Bubul Gems by cave entrance markers, and found one I had on *MY* map, that was not on the ZeldaDungeon.net TotK Map. I dont know shit about editing a wiki or none of that, and im high af right now so you dont want me messing anything up like that, but I just thought yall should know you're missing one.
Love, Peace, and French Fry Grease, The Astonishing OddBall TheAstonishingOddBall (talk) 17:37, February 10, 2024 (UTC)
- Are you referring to this cave entrance? --Charitwo (talk) 18:37, February 10, 2024 (UTC)
PS Yall also need one at -3214, 2464, 0348 Talonto Peak Cave. Okay, deuces TheAstonishingOddBall (talk) 17:44, February 10, 2024 (UTC)
- and this one? This entrance could be partially obscured by the Crossing the Cold Pool side quest marker depending on your zoom level. --Charitwo (talk) 18:37, February 10, 2024 (UTC)

About my Link (Hero of Time) page move
I apologize for moving the page. I felt that the new title would be more appropriate, given that this version of Link appears in both OOT and MM while also making appearances in other games and media; therefore, I decided the best way to organize the article was to change the name. I will change it back. the preceding unsigned post by User talk:Xelleak (contribs) at 20:26, February 19, 2024 (UTC)
I need help with my wiki theme
I think I did something in the TOTK interactive map, and now the color scheme for Zelda Dungeon is different - its now brown with dark green, almost like a dark mode of the regular format, and I cannot figure out how to change it back. Attached is an image of my current look - I would appreciate it if I knew how to revert to the normal style. the preceding unsigned post by Xelleak (contribs) at 17:05, February 26, 2024 (UTC)
- You may have to go to your preferences and reset the settings to see if that fixes the issue. Based on what I can see you are using the same skin as everyone else and do not have any custom CSS loaded in your userspace.
- Additionally, you can also use --~~~~ to sign your posts instead of using an unsigned template which is meant for people who forget to sign. --Charitwo (talk) 22:06, February 26, 2024 (UTC)
Page-moving permissions
Hello, I have recently updated the page on the Sages' Medallions to more thoroughly explain each one. I feel that the pages for the individual Medallions are too small and aren't detailed enough, but after the debacles with the Hero of Time and Fairy Slingshot pages, I reckoned I should ask your permission first. Am I allowed to turn the pages for the individual Sage Medallions into redirect pages? --- Xelleak (talk) 18:26, March 16, 2024
- I don't think unilaterally redirecting them is a good approach. There are a lot of articles on the wiki which could use more information, or can be perceived as not having a whole lot in comparison to other articles, however that does not necessarily mean they need to be removed/redirected. It would also be detrimental to search ranking for every single one of those articles, if someone happens to search for them. We want to improve our rankings against our competition, not diminish it. We can do that by improving the articles. --Charitwo (talk) 18:42, March 16, 2024 (UTC)
Permission to delete a redirect
I noticed that the page for the Light Sword has a redirect, Light Sword (Hyrule Warriors), when the Light Sword's only appearance is in Hyrule Warriors. I was wondering if you could delete it, as the redirect is completely unnecessary. --- Xelleak (talk) 16:20, March 20, 2024
- It looks like it was created because it was and is still linked from another article. --Charitwo (talk) 16:44, March 20, 2024 (UTC)
- That was a link I made while editing the Lokomo Sword page because I thought the Light Sword was a non-Hyrule Warriors item. I have deleted the link, so could you now delete the redirect, please? --- Xelleak (talk) 17:00, March 21, 2024
Request to become Content Manager
I have noticed while using this wiki that there are a lot of redirect pages which I believe to be "unnecessary" - as in, they are not very useful because the redirect is either a misspelling, or so long that you would come up with the correct page title first. For example, if I were to type "Arrow" into the search bar, I would find the following results: Arrow, Arrow Aimer/Orb, Arrow x10, Arrow x5, Arrows, Arrows Of Burning Heat, Arrows of Burning Heart, and more. The "Arrows (plural)" is not needed because you would have typed "Arrow" first. The "Arrow (quantity)" results are completely unnecessary since you would just type in Arrow. And the final two redirect to a BotW side quest, the latter of which is a misspelling, while the former contains a grammatical error and would display a separate result from the correct side quest (which has already shown up).
I wish to get rid of these redirects to clear up the search bar and make using this wiki easier (hence why I requested you delete the "Lokomo Sword (Hyrule Warriors" redirect earlier), and so I would like to request to become a Content Monitor or Administrator (whichever role can delete pages and is reasonable). I do have the Zelda Dungeon discord, in case you would like to contact me there, and I will understand if the answer is no. --- Xelleak (talk) 22:50, May 14, 2024
- Hey Xelleak, we don't really have a process for users to request elevated permissions. Generally, the staff select people we feel would be good candidates. Your contributions here definitely don't go unnoticed, however!
- I am happy to make time to address any housekeeping items though, usually there is a specific niche reason for some items being used as redirects. Keep in mind that the search suggestions drop-down is sometimes unrelated to why we might have a redirect, including but not limited to the user pasting search terms in the search bar or a technical issue preventing the suggestions from showing.
- I would also like to note that redirects appearing in search results or suggestions is a "feature" and a noted pain point.[1][2][3]
- We can start with the above examples:
- Arrow Orb: Generally, the article should be named after how it appears in-game or in an official guidebook. A redirect from one to another is warranted if it is useful. Useful is subjective of course and up to interpretation.
- Arrow x5/Arrow x10: These exist due to the interactive map (along with similar examples as the map is designed to drive traffic to the wiki), and we want to avoid users being sent to a non-existent page from the map.[4][5]
- Arrows: This (and similar) is/are needed because sometimes people for type Arrows and not realize they can use Arrows or Arrows instead. It's mostly harmless and experienced editors can come along and fix the links.
- Arrows of Burning Heart/Arrows Of Burning Heat: I agree these are unneeded so I've deleted them.
- EDIT: Would also like to note, if you're in our discord, let me know who you are so I can make sure you have our wiki editor role to recognize you for your contributions. --Charitwo (talk) 01:01, May 15, 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for hearing me out. Also, my Discord username is "jaidwisp44" if you are going to give me the aforementioned role. --- Xelleak (talk) 16:34, May 15, 2024

Permission to create Moblin gallery page,
May I have permission to create a Gallery:Moblin page, they've had a lot of appearances given their iconic enemy status and I've already done alot of work for the gallery, all I need now is permission from a moderator to create it. Delsait (talk) 21:13, August 14, 2024 (UTC)
- Thats odd, it won't even let me create a gallery on my sandbox and keeps saying its spam that I need to inform a moderator about, any idea on how I should handle this? Delsait (talk) 21:26, August 14, 2024 (UTC)+
- Thank you very much, it worked! I'll try to add more to the gallery too. Also we should work on the CD-I Ganon sprite files, as the sprite files we have labeled as Ganon are actually Goronu from the Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon! Delsait (talk) 07:48, August 15, 2024 (UTC)
