Breath of the Wild in-Game Description

The Cap of the Hero has a base defense of 3, and can be obtained by scanning the Link (The Legend of Zelda) amiibo, through the use of the amiibo Rune. Scanning the amiibo will drop various items from the sky, along with a treasure chest, which has a chance of containing the Cap of the Hero, but can also contain different items. The amiibo can only be scanned once per day.

Armor Set

The Hero Set (also including Tunic of the Hero and Trousers of the Hero) offers the Master Sword Beam Up bonus.

Enhance Path

Enhancing armor requires that Link has unlocked as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level.

The Cap of the Hero can be found in a Treasure Chest in the Tuft Canyon Mine at (2520, -3602, -0626), near the Ancient Observation Deck and Abandoned Lurelin Mine. An Old Map held by a Flux Construct II in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago directs Link towards it.

Once found, if sold it can be repurchased from a Depths Bargainer Statue for 400 Poes, or from Cece in Ventest Clothing Boutique after the completion of The Mayoral Election side adventure for 4000 rupees.

Enhance Path

Enhancing armor requires as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level to be unlocked.
