The Red Bubble is a variation of a Bubble that appears in multiple Zelda games. They are always surrounded by a red fire that indicates when they are alive.

Red Bubbles in Ocarina of Time appear in areas with lava, such as the Fire Temple, Dodongo's Cavern, Gerudo Training Ground, or Ganon's Tower. They attack by jumping out of the lava at Link. Their flames can be put out by your Hylian Shield.

The Wind Waker
Red Bubbles appear in dungeons, once again in chiefly in fire areas. They can be defeated with a ranged weapon, such as the Hero's Bow or Hookshot, or Link can blow out their fire with the Deku Leaf and attack them with his sword.
