Breath of the Wild In-Game Description

The Rusty Claymore is a two-handed sword found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Rusty Claymores have a base power of 12, and can usually be found dotted around Hyrule, usually by ruined buildings or outhouses. It appears to bear resemblance to a Soldier's Claymore, but over the ages it has been wrecked and virtually unusable.

Feeding a Rusty Claymore to a Rock Octorok will cause it to spit out an as-new Hylia Series claymore. Which version it will spit out is partly random, and partly determined by World Level.

Age of Calamity

This section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Rusty Claymores are a weapon type which cannot be used in battle. To make them usable, they must be taken to the Hylian Blacksmith Guild for "de-rusting" after the completion of the "From Rusty to Trusty" quest. The Guild improves their de-rusting services further with the completion of the "Better Rust-Busting" and "Road to Rust Research" quests.

The Rusty Claymore is similar to its first appearance in Breath of the Wild. It can first be found in the In-isa Shrine on the Great Sky Island.
