Wooden Mop

They are typically found in urbanized areas, such as the Hateno Village or Stables; but are occasionally used as weapons by Red Bokoblin and Blue Bokoblin. With their mainly wooden construction, they will catch fire should they be brought close to a flame.

Farmer's Pitchfork

Farmer's Pitchforks have a base power of 7 and base durability of 12. They are typically found in urbanized areas, such as within Hateno Village, but can also be seen in the possession of Red Bokoblins on occasion. Early on his quest, Link can find a Farmer's Pitchfork just outside of the Woodcutter's House on the Great Plateau.

Throwing Spear

Throwing Spears have a base power of just 6 and base durability of 20. As a melee weapon, they are some of the weakest Spears found in the game, being more powerful only than the Traveler's Spear and Moblin Spear. Their design is simple, with a mostly wooden construction and a basic pointed tip.

"A specialized spear weighted to excel as a throwing weapon. It's perfectly balanced to be thrown harder than your average spear, able to pierce targets from a great distance."

Traveler's Spear

Main article: Traveler's Spear

Traveler's Spears have a base power of 3 and base durability of 30. They are the weakest spears that Link can find in the game, with less power than unconventional "spear" weapons such as the Wooden Mop. Bokoblins and Moblins occasionally use them in and around the Great Plateau area in the early game. The design is relatively simple, being a long fashioned wooden pole with a metal spearhead used for additional damage.

Many of the travelers found on the various roads wield a Traveler's Spear, including Brigo, who can be found patrolling the Proxim Bridge.

"A spear used mainly by travelers to fend off wolves and other beasts. It's easy to hold and simple to use."

Soldier's Spear

Soldier's Spears have a base power of 7 and base durability of 35. They are occasionally used by Bokoblins and Moblins in and around the Necluda area. Representing a a slight upgrade from the Traveler's Spear, dealing more damage overall, their designs are also relatively similar, both sporting a wooden pole, but the Soldier's Spear has a larger spearhead with an additional gut tool attached to the tip.

"A long spear once used by the guards of Hyrule Castle. Easy to use but difficult to master. The iron tip is very sturdy, and the shaft will not burn when exposed to flame."

Knight's Halberd

Knight's Halberds have a base power of 13 and base durability of 40. They can typically be found in the possession of Moblins in the Tabantha and Hebra regions of the map. As halbards, they have axe-like heads. While their fully metal handles ensure they will not catch fire, during a thunderstorm they will act as lightning rods.

Royal Halberd

Royal Halberds are polearms with a base power of 26 and a base durability of 50. They are adorned with golden accents, with grips covered in purple ribbon. On the surface, the halberd is similar to the Royal Guard's Spear, with the only difference being the choice of colors.

"This spear was issued to the knights who guarded Hyrule Castle's throne room. Its ornate design was applied by a craftsman in service to the royal family."

Forest Dweller's Spear

Forest Dweller's Spears have a base power of 11 and base durability of 35. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in the Korok Forest. Made entirely from wood, they will catch fire if brought in close proximity to a flame.

"The Koroks made this spear for Hylians. The shaft is made from a light, sturdy wood, offering ease of use. The spearhead is made from a much harder wood, offering strength."

Zora Spear

Zora Spears have a base power of 9 and base durability of 40. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in and around Zora's Domain. Wrought entirely from metal, they sport the classic Zora colors of blue and silver.

"This spear is a Zora's weapon of choice. It's lighter than it looks due to being made from a special metal and is used by the Zora for both fishing and protecting their domain."

Silverscale Spear

Silverscale Spears have a base power of 12 and base durability of 40. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in and around Zora's Domain. Made entirely from metal, their aesthetic is rather similar to that of the Zora Spear, however the spearhead is radically different; hosting a crescent shaped tip for additional damage.

"The most skilled Zora fighters wield this spear. Its beautiful fish-tail design belies its impressive strength; the spearhead can pierce even the toughest scales."

Ceremonial Trident

The Ceremonial Trident has a very fast use time, and has a power of 14 and base durability of 40. This item can be obtained from the Zora's Domain at any time. It is used in the Shrine Quest The Ceremonial Song, where it is referenced by the Zora child Laruta. It can be found submerged underwater under the west bridge inside of the Zora's Domain, where it's obtained by using Magnesis on the trident. If broken, it can be repaired by Dento. The Ceremonial Trident he creates is identical in appearance to the Lightscale Trident; however it has a lower base power and durability.

"A spear modeled after the Lightscale Trident wielded by the Zora Champion Mipha. They may be identical in appearance, but this spear's strength and durability are inferior."

Lightscale Trident

The Lightscale Trident has a very fast use time, and has a power of 22 and base durability of 70. Link obtains this weapon after saving Zora's Domain from the trouble caused by the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. It once belonged to the Zora Champion Mipha, but is gifted to Link by King Dorephan for his efforts.

If the Lightscale Trident breaks, it can be taken to Dento in Zora's Domain to have a replacement made in exchange for a Zora Spear, a Diamond, and five pieces of Flint.

"A spear of peerless grace cherished by the Zora Champion Mipha. Although Mipha specialized in healing abilities, her spearmanship was in a class all its own."

Drillshaft

The Drillshaft has a power of 14 and base durability of 50, and can be used to mine Ore Deposits found all over Hyrule with great effectiveness, due to the durability being fairly high in this regard.

• A respawning drillshaft can be found on the mountain between Goron Hot Springs and Daqa Koh Shrine, behind some breakable rocks.

"Goron artisans used recycled metal to forge this weapon. The tip is made from an old excavation bore, which affords it unmatched piercing capabilities."

The Feathered Spear has a base power of 10 and base durability of 35, and is typically used by members of the Rito tribe in and around the Tabantha Region. It utilizes wood and metal in the aesthetic, with a variety of feathers attached by the spearhead for additional visual flair.

"Its lightweight design is a hallmark of Rito craftsmanship. It's made from light and sturdy materials, which afford Rito warriors ease of use during aerial combat."

Gerudo Spear

The Gerudo Spear has a base power of 16, and can be found in various locations in and around the Gerudo Region. In appearance, it has more of a trident-like design than other spears, and the aesthetic fits the overall Gerudo theme, with curved features and a gold and silver color scheme.

"This spear's center of gravity is in its tip, making it a bit unwieldy for the average fighter. But in the hands of a skilled Gerudo warrior, it's a weapon of reliable strength."

Serpentine Spear

The Serpentine Spear has a base power of 12 and base durability of 35, and can be found in the occasional chest, mainly in Shrine of Trials. Some Lizalfos also tend to favor this weapon if they aren't wielding a Lizal Spear.

"The spearhead of this weapon is uniquely Sheikah in design. Spear masters of the Sheikah tribe can use the crescent shape to snag their opponents and deliver brutal cuts."

Ancient Spear

The Ancient Spear has a base power of 30 and base durability of 50, and can be obtained by visiting the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.This weapon can only be obtained after Link has activated the Ancient Furnace, at which point he should speak with Cherry, the robot, to trade 1,000 Rupees, 15 Ancient Gears, 5 Ancient Shafts, and 2 Ancient Cores for the spear. When Link is carrying this weapon, only the handle shows; the blue parts only show up once it is held in the hand.

The Rusty Halberd has a base power of 5 and base durability of 15, and can typically be found in lone locations across Hyrule, for example at the East Post Ruins, but occasionally the player may notice a Moblin wielding one of these poor-quality weapons. From taking a look at the aesthetic alone, the player can deduct that the durability on this once-prosperous halberd is rather destitute.

Royal Guard's Spear

The Royal Guard's Spear has a base power of 32, durability of 15, and can be found inside of Hyrule Castle. This weapon has a massive base damage for a spear, however, its durability leaves a lot to be desired. It has the highest base power of any spear. In appearance, it looks identical to the Royal Halberd, but with a darker color scheme.

"This Sheikah-made spear was created using ancient technology to combat the Calamity. Its attack power is very high, but a critical design flaw left it with poor durability."

Flamespear

The Flamespear has a power of 24, and base durability of 50 and a very fast use time. It can often be found in various Shrine of Trials scattered across Hyrule, and very rarely can be seen wielded by Bokoblins in the Eldin region. The spear has the ability to set enemies alight, but requires a short period of time to charge before unleashing the flames once more.

"A magical spear forged in the magma of Death Mountain. Attack when the blade glows to expel powerful flames."

Frostspear

The Frostspear has a base power of 20 and base durability of 40. The blade has the ability to freeze enemies, but requires a short period of time to charge before expelling the frost once more.

There are non-respawning frostspears in the following locations:

• Namika Ozz Shrine in Crenel Hills.
• Jitan Sa'mi Shrine at the Spring of Wisdom where you free Naydra.
• In master mode there is a frostspear in a chest on a floating platform by Luto's Crossing on the way to Zora's domain.

There are four respawnable sources of frostspear:

• Wielded by an Ice-Breath Lizalfos in a skull camp in the middle of Biron Snowshelf north of Sturnida Basin.
• Embedded in the Stalnox in Harfin Valley.
• Wielded by a Black Bokoblin in a skull camp due north of Warbler's Nest.
• Wielded by the Black Lizalfos in the Coliseum Ruins if you've defeated all four Divine Beasts.

Thunderspear

The Thunderspear is one of the elemental spears found in Breath of the Wild. It has a base power of 22 and base durability of 50, and can be rarely found scattered around Hyrule, but also in various Shrine of Trials. The spear has the ability to electrocute enemies, but requires a short period of time to charge before unleashing the electric shock once more.

"A magical spear that contains thunder from Thundra Plateau in its tip. Attack when the blade glows with a golden light to unleash an electric attack."

Boko Spear

Main article: Boko Spear

The Boko Spear a base power of 2 and base durability of 12, it is the weakest Spear in the entire game, as well as being one of the least sturdy. This spear is rather weak and fragile and it is not a recommended weapon. Since it is made from wood, it will burn and therefore can carry flames, but not for a very long time. The spears can often by found at Bokoblin or Lizalfos camps, being used to skewer and roast various types of fish.

The weapon is typical used by Bokoblins on the Great Plateau, as well as the Dueling Peaks and Hateno regions. and its surrounding areas. While it is a serviceable weapon while Link is on the Great Plateau, it quickly becomes obsolete as Link will find much better spears in the early game, including Traveler's Spears, Spiked Boko Spears, and Dragonbone Boko Spears.

"A spear haphazardly carved from a large tree branch. It looks like its original intent was for skewering meat and cooking it, but it does have some combat merit as well."

Spiked Boko Spear

Main article: Spiked Boko Spear

The Spiked Boko Spear has a base power of 6 and base durability of 15, and is a typical weapon used by Blue Bokoblins in the Necluda region and its surrounding areas. Its design is similar to the traditional Boko Spear, but affixed are various bones in order to increase the damage. Since it is made from wood, it will burn and therefore can carry flames, but not for a long time.

The weapons is most commonly found in the Lake, Faron, and Lanayru regions, being wielded by Blue Bokoblins, and also the base level Lizalfos. It also occasionally used as a weapon by Bokoblin that are on horseback.

With a power of 6, it is three times the strength of the Boko Spear, but only slightly more durable. It is half as powerful as the Dragonbone Boko Spear.

"A Boko spear enhanced with sharpened animal bones. It's light, easy to use, and deals a decent amount of damage."

Dragonbone Boko Spear

The Dragonbone Boko Spear has a base power of 12 and base durability of 20. Despite it having a low base damage, due to the nature of spears, it has a relatively high damage-per-second, which can take out enemies swiftly. The design, however, is simply a stick with some bones affixed to the tip, which signifies a fault in the durability sector.

The spear can often be seen in the hands of Black Bokoblins all over Hyrule, but more prominently in the Akkala region. It is also occasionally found being used by Black Moblin and Blue Lizalfos.

"This Boko spear has been strengthened with fossilized bones. The bones are positioned outward so the fangs bite at the opponent. Beware Bokoblins carrying this weapon."

Moblin Spear

The Moblin Spear has a base attack of 4 and a base durability of 15. This weapon is commonly found being wielded by Red Moblins all across Hyrule. Its construction is entirely wooden, with additional spiked twigs attached to the top as its main form of offense.

"This wooden spear is most often used by Moblins. It's made from a hastily whittled tree, so its stabbing power and durability are both pretty low."

Spiked Moblin Spear

The Spiked Moblin Spear has a base power of 9 and base durability of 20, and is a typical weapon used by Moblins all over Hyrule, but more commonly in regions such as Akkala. Its design is similar to that of the traditional Moblin Spear, however resistant bones have been affixed in order to increase the mean damage for this weapon.

"This Moblin-made spear uses a horned animal bone as the spearhead. Like many Moblin weapons it's sloppily made, but this one packs some respective piercing power."

Dragonbone Moblin Spear

The Dragonbone Moblin Spear has a base power of 15 and base durability of 25, and is often used by Black Moblins in the Eldin and Hebra regions of the game. Its appearance is identical to that of a traditional Moblin Spear, but with multiple bones affixed to the tip of the stick to increase the damage output.

"This spear is a fan favorite among Moblins. The spearhead is made from fossilized bones adorned with spikes, which greatly increases its stabbing power."

Lizal Spear

The Lizal Spear has a base power of 7 and base durability of 18, and is often used by Green Lizalfos all over Hyrule, but more prominently in the south of the map, in regions including Faron. In design, it is a simple wooden pole with a slightly fashioned piece of metal affixed with some rope as the spearhead. The durability on this weapon is below average.

"The brutal, ripping edge of this weapon's spearhead is a distinctly Lizalfos design. Its low durability doesn't lend itself to extended use."

It is an upgraded version of the basic Lizal Spear, but with a sharper spearhead to increase its damage potential.

Forked Lizal Spear

The Forked Lizal Spear has a base power of 18 and base durability of 28, and is often used by Black Lizalfos on the outskirts of the map, in regions such as Akkala or Hebra. It uses the same wooden pole other iterations of the Lizal Spear use, but on this particular weapon a pointed piece of metal which goes in two directions is attached to the tip. The material used here seems akin to that in the Lizal Boomerang.

"Skilled Lizalfos warriors tend to favor this spear. What it lacks in piercing power, it makes up for with the brutal wounds its dual ripping blades will inflict."

The Lynel Spear has a base power of 14 and base durability of 25, and can be obtained by defeating standard Lynels scattered in the overworld, for example on Ploymus Mountain. This weapon is similar in aesthetic to other Lynel weapons, for example the Lynel Sword.
