The Hylian Shield has a base Shield Guard of 90 and base durability of 800, making it easily the most durable shield in the game. Found in a large room in the Hyrule Castle Lockup, the room contains a Stalnox which must be defeated before a chest appears with the shield inside.
The Sheikah Slate is a Key Item found in Breath of the Wild. It is one of the first items Link comes across after waking in the Shrine of Resurrection and is one of his most powerful tools.

If the shield breaks, Link can go to Tarrey Town to buy a new one from Granté for 3000 rupees, provided the side quest From the Ground Up has been completed.
With the Sheikah Slate, Link is able to activate Sheikah technology, most notably the Sheikah Towers and the Shrines of Trials, enabling them as travel points across Hyrule. It also has many built-in tools, such as control of Runes, a map of Hyrule, the Hyrule Compendium, and the scope.

Pot Lid
Aside from its usefulness, Link's possession of the Sheikah Slate is also seen as a sign by many of the long-lived residents of Hyrule that Link is, if not the Champion himself, then a descendant of the Champion, and, as such, should be helped. His use of Sheikah technology often convinces others to assist Link with his quest to defeat Calamity Ganon.

Pot Lid

Pot Lids have a base Shield Guard of 1 and base durability of 10. One can be found on the Great Plateau, just outside of the Woodcutter's House, and they are typically found in urbanized areas, such as Hateno Village or Stables. As makeshift shields, often used by Bokoblins in defense, they have the lowest possible base Shield Guard.
Functions
They are the shield counterparts to the Soup Ladle. As they are related to cooking, Pot Lids can also be seen being used by the traveling chef Stamm, as well as the failed chef Moza. Despite their name, Pot Lids are never actually seen being used in cooking to cover a pot, only as a shield.
Runes
Rune

A key function of the Sheikah Slate is the ability to use runes. In total there are five runes that Link must enable on the Slate. (The sixth rune, the amiibo Rune, is turned on by the player.) The first four are enabled by completing the four shrines on the Great Plateau with the last being enabled at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab by Purah.

Wooden Shield
The runes include:

*Remote Bomb: A bomb that can be detonated remotely.
Wooden Shield
*Magnesis: Manipulate metallic objects using magnetism.
Wooden Shields have a base Shield Guard of 2 and base durability of 12. They can mainly be found in and around the Great Plateau, occasionally being wielded by Bokoblins.
*Stasis: Stop the flow of time for an object.
*Cryonis: Create a pillar of ice from a water surface.
*Camera: Instantly render a visible image into a picture.
*amiibo: Use an amiibo to summon something useful.

Map
Clear

The Sheikah Slate also contains a map of Hyrule. Initially, the map is blank of everything except the outlines of tower regions. Link must visit the Sheikah Towers scattered around Hyrule, activating them and receiving that section of the map. Once he has distilled the map into his Slate, Link can view the features of that area.

Emblazoned Shield
Regions, subregions, and most landmarks are added onto the map automatically. However, some landmarks must be visited before they are added to the map. Additionally, Sheikah Towers and shrines must be activated before they will appear on the map. Once they have been activated, Link may then use the Sheikah Slate to travel to that tower or shrine. Settlements, villages, and Stables must also be visited before their locations will be added to the map. Once Link has registered a Horse at a stable, he may also use the map to track the location of any horse he is traveling with. Additionally, the locations of any discovered Koroks are marked on the map for reference.

Emblazoned Shield

Emblazoned Shields have a base Shield Guard of 3 and base durability of 12. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in the Necluda region of Hyrule. A unique design is painted on the shield face, namely, a graphic of a deer in yellow. The construction of the shield is wooden, and has a close resemblance to the Wooden Shield.
Link also has the ability to set stamps and pins on the map. Stamps are markers visible only when looking at the map. There are nine different designs to choose from, and they can be used to indicate the location of enemies, weapons, cook pots, potential Korok locations, or anything else of note to be remembered. Up to 100 stamps may be placed on the map. Pins function similarly to stamps, but are also visible to Link when he views the landscape through the slate's scope. Pins are ideal for marking travel destinations as they help provide directional guidance for Link without use of the map. Unlike stamps, only five pins are available to use.

With the Expansion Pass, Hero's Path Mode was added to the map. Turning on this mode shows the path of Link's past travels.

Hunter's Shield

Hunter's Shields have a base Shield Guard of 3 and base durability of 10. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in the Necluda and Faron regions of Hyrule. A design of two rabbits is emblazoned on the shield face. The construction of the shield is wooden, and shares a close resemblance to the Wooden Shield.
The Hyrule Compendium is a catalog of information about the creatures, monsters, materials, equipment, and treasures found throughout Hyrule. By using the Camera Rune to take pictures of these items, Link adds information about that item to the compendium, describing the item, its most common locations, and any recoverable materials or properties of the item.

In addition to recording information about the photographed item, the compendium also allows Link to target that item with the Sheikah Sensor once it's been activated. When an item is targeted with the Sheikah Sensor, the slate will start beeping when Link nears that item, the beeping growing more frequent the closer he is to it.

Fisherman's Shields have a base Shield Guard of 3 and base durability of 10. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but are most common in the Necluda and Faron regions of Hyrule. A unique design is painted on the shield face, namely, a graphic of a fish in blue. The construction of the shield is wooden, and has a close resemblance to the Wooden Shield.
The scope on the Sheikah Slate allows Link to view long distances. If Link has any pins on the map and they are not obscured by the landscape, Link will be able to see their glow through the scope, providing direction to the pinned location. If Link sees something through the scope worth investigating, he may set a pin with the scope instead of having to return to the map.

Soldier's Shield

Soldier's Shields have a base Shield Guard of 16 and base durability of 16. They are commonplace in and around the Necluda region of Hyrule, often in the hands of Bokoblins or in Treasure Chests. Mainly wooden in design with a blue paint-job, they will catch fire if exposed to flame.
The Paraglider is an item found in Breath of the Wild. It is gifted upon Link from the King of Hyrule after he has completed all four trials in the Great Plateau. It allows Link to exit the Great Plateau alive, and explore what remains of the Kingdom of Hyrule.

This item functions much like previous 'gliders' in the franchise, such as the Deku Leaf, or Ezlo's gliding ability in The Minish Cap. This time, Link can use the Paraglider for longer than ever before, as it only consumes stamina at a slow rate. It can be used to glide over large gaps, or to break falls, much akin to the Sailcloth.

The Travel Medallion is part of the EX Teleportation Rumors! side quest that is unlocked when The Master Trials DLC is activated. The quest leads Link to the South Akkala Stable, where he will find the Super Rumor Mill V2 book. The book will talk about the Travel Medallion and indicates it is located beneath a labyrinth in northeast Akkala.

Silver Shields have a base Shield Guard of 18 and base durability of 20. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but they are most common in and around Zora's Domain. Made entirely from metal, meaning they will attract lightning in the midst of a thunderstorm, these shields sport the classic Zora colors of blue and silver.
The rumor is referring to the basement of Lomei Labyrinth Island, located at the far northeast corner of the map. Link will first need to complete the Trial of the Labyrinth shrine quest in order to find the Tu Ka'loh Shrine‎‎. After completing the quest, he will gain access to the basement of the shrine. Beware of the many Guardian Stalkers and Decayed Guardians in the area. The item is obtained after defeating Waterblight Ganon inside of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, as a gift from Mipha for freeing her spirit. This ability will create a large column of updraft where Link is standing. By pulling out the Paraglider, Link can use this updraft to fly high into the sky and reach areas that are difficult to climb to, or pull out a Bow and use it to attack enemies. This ability will create a large column of updraft where Link is standing. By pulling out the Paraglider, Link can use this updraft to fly high into the sky and reach areas that are difficult to climb to, or pull out a Bow and use it to attack enemies. This ability is similar to the updraft created by burning grass.

Outside of the Great Plateau, Spiked Boko Sheilds can be seen wielded by Blue Bokoblin on the pathway that leads through the Dueling Peaks. Occasionally, the Spiked Boko Shield can be found wielded by a Stalkoblin, Black Bokoblin, or a Lizalfos.

Each Korok will gift Link one seed, which can be exchanged with Hestu to increase his inventory capacity. There are 900 Korok Seeds in total, all hidden across the land. They often require unique puzzles to be solved in order to find the Korok bearing them, such as rolling a boulder into a hole, or completing a circle of rocks. Initially, Hestu can be found on the road leading to Kakariko Village. However, after Link upgrades two slots in his inventory, Hestu will note that the time is late.

However, on his way back to Korok Forest, he gets lost and will appear at Riverside Stable, Wetland Stable, and Woodland Stable. Link will need to find Hestu and after upgrade five more slots, Hestu will finally make his way back to the Korok Forest.

Upon collecting all 900 of the seeds, Link is advised to speak with Hestu in the Korok Forest, where he will be gifted with the allusive Hestu's Gift, which currently has no use.

Inventory Upgrades
Generally, each slot upgrade requires more seeds than the previous. Below is a chart which lists the cost to upgrade each slot all the way. In total, 441 seeds are required to maximize all of the stashes.
