Endai travels the road between Riverside Stable and Wetland Stable
Tears of the Kingdom
Early on, Endai can be found alongside Teli, Joute, and Agus at Batrea Lake, just east of the Owlan Bridge. The group is on their way to the Riverside Stable, but stopped due to all of them getting sick.
Gourmets Gone Missing
- Main article: Gourmets Gone Missing
After completing the Potential Princess Sightings! quest, Link can speak with Penn at Riverside Stable to begin the Gourmets Gone Missing quest. The chef of Riverside Stable is waiting for Agus and the rest of the group to arrive at the stable so they can teach him one of Princess Zelda's recipes. However the group has not arrived. Link can find them all resting near Batrea Lake. If Link speaks with Endai, he is sick, complaining about monster meat.[1]
The group is all sick after having eaten a meal with monster parts in it. Teli wonders who included such materials, at which point Joute admits that he changed the recipe to include some monster parts.[2][3] Endai agrees with experimenting with food, saying that the road to gourmet greatness is littered with stuff you wouldn't think is tasty, and that they should expand their palate.[4] Agus quiets them down, saying now isn't the time to talk about future dietary exploits. Agus will thank Link and reward him with some Hylian Rice, Rock Salt, and Raw Gourmet Meat.[5] The group will then take off towards the Riverside Stable.
Riverside Stable
After Link has completed the Gourmets Gone Missing quest, Endai will appear at the Riverside Stable. He mentions that the group all got food poisoning as they mixed monsters parts into their cooking. Instead, monster parts should be mixed with bugs to make elixirs. He has no idea what the group was thinking when they added those ingredients.[6] Endai can be seen standing next to a tree where he is hoping to catch a Rugged Rhino Beetle. He mentions that they like to perch on tree trunks, but that they scare easily if they hear any noise.[7]

- ↑ "You're the one who saved me from that nasty bout of food poisoning, aren't you? Fancy running into you again. Our mistake was using monster parts in cooking. They're supposed to be mixed with bugs to make elixirs. What were we thinking? I will say, they're shyer than usual today. Maybe because of all the noise above the treetops? What is that?" — Endai, Tears of the Kingdom

If you see one, be sure not to make any sudden movements. Bugs scare easily! Be kind and gentle when you catch the little guys! Do it lovingly! I will say, they're shyer than usual today. Maybe because of all the noise above the treetops? What is that?" — Endai, Tears of the Kingdom
