Learning

Ocarina of Time

After Link has acquired all three Spiritual Stones and attempts to enter Hyrule Castle Town, Princess Zelda flees with Impa on a horse, with Ganondorf chasing after them. Zelda throws the Ocarina of Time into the moat before Ganondorf exists the Town, enabling Link to swim into the moat and obtain the instrument. Upon retrieving it, he has a vision of Zelda, who teaches Link the Song of Time so that he can enter the Sacred Realm to stop Ganondorf.

Majora's Mask

During the first three-day cycle, Deku Link and Tatl manage to reach the Clock Tower roof on the Final Day, confronting Skull Kid and Tael mere hours before the Moon crashes into Clock Town. Tael instructs Link to gather the Four Giants at Clock Town, but they have all been sealed away. Link shoots Skull Kid with a bubble, causing him to drop the Ocarina of Time and enabling Link to reclaim it - he then has a vision of Zelda giving him the Ocarina, before he leaves Hyrule on his journey to find Navi, and remembers the Song of Time. Link then plays it, sending him and Tatl back to the moment they first arrived in Clock Town.

Uses

Ocarina of Time

Majora's Mask

  • Link will be transported to South Clock Town on 6:00 AM of the First Day, resetting the time loop.
    • Link will lose all Rupees and consumable items on his person, although he can save his Rupees using the Clock Town Bank.
    • In the N64 version, Link will also be able to save his progress.

Once Link has learned the Song of Time, two hidden versions will be unlocked, the Song of Double Time and the Inverted Song of Time.
