Nuranuru are slug-like enemies that are first encountered in Misery Mire, the sixth dungeon of the Dark World. When Nuranurus travels, they leaves behind a trail of green Bombs in their path. These bombs can cause damage to their enemies or prey; but a Nuranuru will not be harmed by its own bomb.

Nuranuru move slowly around and can be easily destroyed by most weapons. Two swipes with the Master Sword will defeat them. Usually at the point when Link encounters a Nuranuru he already has the Blue Mail. With the added armor, Link will still take two hearts of damage if he contacts a Nuranuru. Nuranuru also later found within Turtle Rock and Ganon's Tower.

Trivia

  • A similar enemy to the Nuranuru known as a Sluggula is featured in The Minish Cap. They only appear in Minish dungeons and caves. Unlike Nuranuru, they can't lay bombs in their path.
