The Magic Rod is an unlockable weapon class used by Link in Hyrule Warriors. While wielding it, Link fights by using a long staff that can transform into different weapons and summon fire spirits.
Variations
- Fire Rod: The Level 1 variation. Based on the namesake item.
- Prism Rod: The Level 2 variation.
- Magical Rod: The Level 3 variation.
- 8-Bit Candle: The Level ★ variation. Based on the Red Candle from The Legend of Zelda, rendered in 3D and attached to a wooden pole.
- Magical Rod +: The Level 4 variation. Identical to the Magical Rod, but much more powerful.
- Crackling Rod: The Level 4+ variation, which adds Lightning as a secondary element. Identical to the Magical Rod, but with an orange color scheme.

Base String? | Link performs a string of five attacks; He shoots a fireball ahead, shoots two in separate directions, shoots three in an arc, spins the rod around him, and transforms it into a blaster before shooting a large fireball ahead. |
C1? | Link summons a fast-moving inferno that travels ahead, knocking enemies back. Holding / has Link charge up, before creating a small explosion in front of him. |
C2? | Link slams the rod down, creating a pillar of flame in front of him that knocks enemies into the air; This can be extended, causing Link to create a horizontal pillar in mid-air that catches the launched enemies, then split the pillar in half and rotate the pieces to knock them away. |
C3? | Link transforms the rod into a battleaxe and performs an upward swing; This can be extended, causing Link to perform a Spin Attack with the axe, then throw it in an arc around him. |
