The Hero's Flag is an item in The Wind Waker. It is a part of the Trading Sequence.
Link can obtain it from the Traveling Merchants on Bomb Island and Greatfish Isle. Both of them accept the Big Sale Flag.[1][2] However, Link must also pay a certain fee: 75 Rupees on Greatfish Isle, and 65 Rupees on Bomb Island.[3][4] After Link trades with them, they form the merchant's oath.[5] As a result, they send shipments of the Hero's Flag to Zunari's Shop.[6] There, Zunari sells them for 75 Rupees.[7]
Link can then trade the Hero's Flag to one of the three merchants for another item. On Bomb Island, the merchant offers the Big Catch Flag in exchange for the Hero's Flag and 85 Rupees.[8][9] The merchant on Greatfish Isle gives him the Postman Statue, as long as Link pays 100 Rupees.[10][11] Mother and Child Isles' merchant wants 35 Rupees in addition to the Hero's Flag to trade for the Big Sale Flag.[12][13]
When he is not using it for the Trading Sequence, Link can place the Hero's Flag in Joy Pedestals around Windfall Island. He carries the item in his Delivery Bag.[14]
