The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is a multi-player game for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released in Japan, North America, and Europe on October 23, 2015, and in Australia on October 24, 2015.
Setting
Tri Force Heroes is set in the kingdom of Hytopia, a distant kingdom ruled by King Tuft. One day, the king's daughter, Princess Styla, is cursed by a witch from the Drablands. The king responds by recruiting heroes to hunt down the witch. Link is one of the recruits, but he has to go together with other heroes as the Drablands are too dangerous to be entered alone.
Areas
Tri Force Heroes has a hub based around Hytopia Castle Town and Hytopia Castle.
To adventure, Link must travel into the Drablands. These are composed of eight distinct areas, each divided into four levels, which are sub-divided into several stages. In addition, the Den of Trials was added in the December 2015 update:
Characters
Tri Force Heroes allows multi-player with different color variations of Link. The colors of Link are Green Link, Red Link, and Blue Link. In single-player mode, Red and Blue Link are Doppels, golem-like bodies which Link can move his soul between.
Outfits
Tri Force Heroes allows Link to dress in alternate costumes, each of which changes his powers, health or other traits.
