"This spiffy cap is part of the uniform for Hyrule's Royal Guard. It's lighter than it looks and easy to move around in. It's a rather rare find."
The Royal Guard Cap is a piece of armor found in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
A Royal Guard Cap has a base defense of 4, and was released as a part of the second DLC expansion for the game: 'The Champions' Ballad'.
Location
This piece of armor can be found inside Hyrule Castle, in the room above the Sanctum. Be sure to check our Breath of the Wild Interactive Map for a more precise location.
After Link has obtained this item for the first time, he will be able to purchase it from Granté in Tarrey Town for 50 Rupees.
Armor Set
The Royal Guard Set (also including the Royal Guard Uniform and the Royal Guard Boots) when equipped decreases the amount of stamina used from a charge attack. This set is not enhanceable and cannot be dyed.

Tears of the Kingdom
"This spiffy cap is part of the uniform for Hyrule's royal guard. It's lighter than it looks and easy to move around in. Recently reproduced and made available."
The Royal Guard Cap can be found in Princess Zelda's Room. It acts similarly to how it did in Breath of the Wild; however it is now enhanceable by the Great Fairies, meaning its set bonus only activates if all pieces of the set are upgraded at least twice.
Enhance Path
Enhancing Armor requires that Link has unlocked as many Great Fairy Fountains as the desired star-level.
