The Legend of Zelda was released in the year 1986 in Japan and 30 years later Nintendo had a celebration of the series with various events, releases of different software and hardware.
A logo for the celebration was first revealed at a Nintendo Direct event on September 1st, 2016.
Skyward Sword

On the same day as the Nintendo Direct reveal of the 30th anniversary of the Zelda series, Skyward Sword was released on the Nintendo Wii U Virtual Console.
