Goron Elder is a title given to an elderly Goron serves as a leader of the Goron race in the particular title. There have been reoccurring Gorons throughout the Zelda Series that have held this title, or similar titles.

The Goron Elder is the leader of the Gorons living within Rolling Ridge. Link will save the Goron Elder and acquire the Crown Key, which gives Link access to the 5th dungeon in the game, the Crown Dungeon.
Twilight Princess
There are four Goron Elders in Twilight Princess, and is found in the Death Mountain. Three of them is found in the Goron Mines and when Link encounter them, they bestow Link a Key Shard, which is required to open the boss door.

In Ocarina of Time the Goron "Elder" is used to get The Spiritual Stone of Fire and is the Sage of Fire. In Majora's Mask the Goron Elder has very little "value". In Twilight Princess the Goron Elders are used to complete the Big Key in the Goron Mines as well as move Malo Mart to Hyrule Castle Town.
