Bow of Light

The Bow of Light is a bow only available for use in the final battle with Dark Beast Ganon, gifted by Zelda to help defeat it. It has an attack of 100, range of 500 and a nominal durability of 100, but cannot break within the boss fight.

The amiibo-only Twilight Bow is similar but weaker, and can be used outside of the final boss battle.

"Princess Zelda gave you this bow and arrow for the battle with Dark Beast Ganon. When wielded by the hero, it fires arrows of pure light strong enough to oppose the Calamity."

Wooden Bow

Main article: Wooden Bow

Wooden Bows have a base power of 4, base durability of 20 and base range of 20. They can often be found on the ground, or in the hands of Stalkoblin's or Red Bokoblins on the Great Plateau. The design is minimalist with one simple curved tree branch, with a piece of wire to function as the bow string. Due to the construction being mainly wooden, this weapon can catch fire.

With a strength of just 4, the Wooden Bow, alongside the Boko Bow are the weakest Bows in the game. With low durability as well as low range, there is very little reason to use the Wooden Bow unless it is the only option available. The Wooden Bow quickly becomes obsolete once Link leaves the Great Plateau and is able to acquire more powerful bows that have more abilities.

Traveler's Bow

Traveler's Bows have a base power of 5, base durability of 22 and base range of 20. They are usually wielded by Stalkoblins and Red Bokoblins in and around the Great Plateau area. Its appearance is reminiscent of classic Bows in the Zelda Series, with metal reinforcements in similar locations to older renditions.

Link can find several Traveler's Bows on the Great Plateau, including one in a Treasure Chest at the Temple of Time, as well as one within the Oman Au Shrine.

With a Base Power of 5, it is only slightly more powerful than the more common Wooden Bow and Boko Bow. Soon after Link gets off the Great Plateau, he will find several Bows that quickly outclass the Traveler's Bow, rendering it obsolete.

As the World Level increases, they will tend to be replaced by Soldier's Bows.

"A small bow used by travelers for protection. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but it can be used to attack foes from a distance."

Soldier's Bow

Soldier's Bows have a base power of 14, base durability of 36 and base range of 20. They are typically wielded by Lizalfos and Blue Bokoblins all over Hyrule. It is similar in appearance to the Traveler's Bow, however many more metal reinforcements are present, which signifies a much higher durability rating.

Link can find his first Soldier's Bow in a treasure chest on the Great Plateau, located at the top of the Temple of Time. Link can also acquire Soldier's Bows in treasure chests near a Bokoblin camp north of the Proxim Bridge and in an underwater treasure chest in the South Nabi Lake, just northwest of the Dueling Peaks Tower. Another Soldier's Bow will continuously spawn at the Tabantha Bridge Stable, on top of tarp that covers some crates.

With the power of 14 and decent durability, the Soldier's Bow is a quality Bow early in the game, and a much better option than the Wooden Bow, Boko Bow, and Traveler's Bow, that Link acquires on the Great Plateau.

As the World Level increases, they will tend to replace Traveler's Bows, and be replaced by Knight's Bows in turn.

Knight's Bow

Knight's Bows have a base power of 26, base durability of 48 and base range of 20. They can usually be found in the possession of Blue Bokoblins in the Gerudo region and Black Moblins in the Hebra region. It has a fully metal construction, meaning lightning will be attracted and potentially cause a strike to hit Link.

As the World Level increases, they will tend to replace Soldier's Bows, and be replaced by Royal Bows in turn.

"The sturdy metal construction of this bow offers superior durability, while its lack of firing quirks makes it quite reliable. Once favored by the knights at Hyrule Castle."

Royal Bow

Royal Bows have a base power of 38, base durability of 60 and base range of 20. They

Royal Bow has a base power of 38, a base durability of 60, and a range of 20. This bow is splendid in design, featuring many golden accents and a riser swathed in purple ribbon. It has an identical structure to the Royal Guard's Bow, however the colors used are significantly different.

"In the past, the king of Hyrule presented this bow to only the most talented archers in the land. Its combat capabilities are as impressive as its extravagant design."

Forest Dweller's Bow

Forest Dweller's Bows are wooden, triple-shot bows with with a base power of 15 per arrow, base durability of 35 and base range of 20. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but they are most common in the Korok Forest. The bow is made entirely from wood, meaning it will catch fire if it is brought in close proximity with a flame. It also has a fairly low durability and has the ability to fire three arrows at once, whilst only consuming one.

One must be equipped at all times whilst attempting the Test of Wood Shrine Quest, or Link will be disqualified and be required to start the trial again.

"The Koroks made this bow for Hylians. It's crafted from flexible wood and uses sturdy vines for the bowstring. Its construction may be simple, but it fires multiple arrows at once."

Silver Bow

Silver Bows have a base power of 15, base durability of 40 and base range of 20. They can be found in various locations in Hyrule, but they are most common in and around Zora's Domain. The bow is made almost entirely from metal, meaning in a thunderstorm lightning will be attracted to the weapon, which will deal significant damage. It is sporting the classic Zora colors of blue and silver.

"A bow favored by the Zora for fishing. It doesn't boast the highest firepower, but the special metal it's crafted from prioritizes durability."

Swallow Bow

Swallow Bows have a base power of 9, base durability of 30 and base range of 40. They can typically be found in the surrounding areas of the Rito Village. It fits in well with the Rito theme, featuring multi-colored ribbons on the bow's limbs and stabilizers, with a mainly wooden construction.

"This bow is a favorite among Rito warriors. The bowstring has been specially engineered for aerial combat, which allows it to be drawn faster than a normal bow."

Falcon Bow

Falcon Bows have a base power of 20, base durability of 50 and base range of 40. They can typically be found in the surrounding areas of the Rito Village. One in-particular can be obtained from a treasure chest located in the Flight Range.

"A highly refined Rito-made bow created by a master Rito craftsman. Rito warriors favor it for its superior rate of fire, which helps them excel even further at aerial combat."

Great Eagle Bow

The Great Eagle Bow is a triple-shot bow with a base power of 28 per arrow, base durability of 60 and base range of 40. It can be obtained after completing the Divine Beast Vah Medoh, as a gift from Kaneli for saving the troubled Rito Village. It once belonged to the Rito Champion Revali.

If the bow breaks, it can be remade by speaking with Harth who will craft a new one for 5 bundles of Wood, a Diamond, and a Swallow Bow.

"A bow without equal wielded by the Rito Champion, Revali. It's said that Revali could loose arrows with the speed of a gale, making him supreme in aerial combat."

Phrenic Bow

Phrenic Bows have a base power of 10, base durability of 45 and base range of 40. They can be found in lone locations scattered across Hyrule, and in Shrine of Trials. It has a rather sleek design, utilizing mainly black, but there are also spots of red present.

They have limited "zoom" capabilities, making it ideal for targeting distant foes or directing arrows toward specific locations on Hyrule's dragons.

"A bow passed down through the Sheikah tribe. Concentrating before drawing the string will allow you to target distant enemies as easily as those nearby."

Golden Bow

Golden Bow has a power of 14, and is the bow of choice for many Gerudo.  It can be found in and around the Gerudo Region of Hyrule, for example in the South Lomei Labyrinth.

Like Phrenic Bows, they have limited zoom capabilities.

"This Gerudo-made bow is popular for the fine ornamentations along its limbs. Designed for hunting and warfare alike, this bow was engineered to strike distant targets."

Ancient Bow

Ancient Bows have a base power of 44, base durability of 120 and base range of 50. They can be obtained by visiting the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.This weapon can only be obtained after Link has activated the Ancient Furnace, at which point he should speak with Cherry, the robot, to trade 1,000 Rupees, 10 Ancient Gears, 15 Ancient Springs, and 1 Giant Ancient Core for the bow.

"This bow is the result of Robbie's research. Ancient Sheikah technology affords it heightened functionality. Arrows fired from it travel in a perfectly straight line."

Royal Guard's Bow

Royal Guard's Bows have a base power of 50, base durability of 20 and base range of 30. They can be found all over the place within Hyrule Castle. This weapon has a massive base damage for a bow, however its durability leaves a lot to be desired. In appearance, it looks similar to the Royal Bow, but with a darker color scheme.

"This prototype Sheikah-made bow was designed to fight the Great Calamity. Made with ancient technology, it boasts a high rate of fire and firepower but has low durability."

Boko Bow

Boko Bows have a base power of 4, base durability of 16 and base range of 20. They are typically carried by Red Bokoblins in and around the Great Plateau. It occasionally is used by Bokoblins that are on horseback, as well as Stalkoblins.

Due to its rather weak power, the Boko Bow is only of major use very on in Link's journey. With a base power of only 4, along with the Wooden Bow, it is the weakest Bow that Link can acquire in the game.

"A basic Bokoblin bow made of wood. It's made by taking any tree branch and just tying a string to either end, so don't expect much in the way of combat effectiveness."

Spiked Boko Bow

Spiked Boko Bows have a base power of 12, base durability of 20 and base range of 20. They are typically carried by Bokoblins. It is similar in appearance to the Boko Bow, however it is three times as powerful and a variety of bones have been affixed to the weapon. It is half as powerful as its much stronger Dragon Bone Boko Bow.

A Spiked Boko Bow can be found behind the waterfall in the River of the Dead, on the Great Plateau. Given its base power of 12, the Spiked Boko Bow is a powerful Bow while Link is still on the Great Plateau, but it quickly becomes outclassed by more powerful bows, as well as bows that have other features. While this is the only Bow found on the Great Plateau in the base game, many Bokoblins can be found wielding Spiked Boko Bow's on the Great Plateau in Master Mode. Throughout Hyrule, Spiked Boko Bow's are often used by Bokoblins and Lizalfos.

Dragon Bone Boko Bow

Dragon Bone Boko Bows have a base power of 24, base durability of 30 and base range of 20. They are typically carried by Blue Bokoblin and Black Bokoblins in various locations in Hyrule, but more prominently in the outer regions of the map, such as Akkala, Hebra, and the Gerudo Highlands.

It is part of the Boko Bow family of bows and bears close resemblance to the more-common Spiked Boko Bow, but with an extra bone attached. Even with a base power of 24, since the Dragon Bone Boko Bow is not found anywhere near or adjacent to the Great Plateau, it is likely that Link will find bows that are more powerful and have more abilities, which quickly outclass the Dragon Bone Boko Bow.

Lizal Bow

Lizal Bows have a base power of 14, base durability of 25 and base range of 20. They are commonly wielded by Green Lizalfos in the Lanayru region, who also favor the use of Shock Arrows. The construction of this bow is mainly wooden, with the occasional addition of bone. This means it won't quite attract lightning, however it can still catch fire.

"A wooden bow created by Lizalfos. It's reinforced by the bones of a large fish - a marked improvement over any standard wooden bow."

Strengthened Lizal Bow

Strengthened Lizal Bows have a base power of 25, base durability of 35 and base range of 20. They are commonly wielded by Lizalfos of all varieties. It is rather similar in design to the Lizal Bow, but with metal reinforcements to increment the durability and damage output of the weapon. This construction choice means the weapon will attract lightning.

"A Lizal bow with a grip reinforced by metal. The body is made from the branches of a flexible tree that grows near water, which offers some serious destructive power."

Steel Lizal Bow

Steel Lizal Bows have a base power of 36, base durability of 50 and base range of 20. They can usually be found in the hands of Black Lizalfos in the outer regions of Hyrule. This weapon is an excellent choice for players as it has a great damage output and a remarkable durability, however it does act as a lightning-rod, so the player should be wary whilst wielding this bow.

"This bow is wielded by Lizalfos who are expert marksmen. The metal that reinforces much of the weapon adds some additional weight but offers heightened durability."

They can be obtained by defeating standard Lynels scattered in the overworld, for example on Ploymus Mountain. This bow will fire three arrows at once, and only consume one in the process. This feature can be especially useful with the use of a Bomb Arrow, since it can deal respectable damage on a wide plane.

They can be obtained by defeating White-Maned Lynels or Silver Lynels scattered in the overworld, for example in the Coliseum Ruins. This bow will fire three arrows at once, and only consume one in the process. This feature can be especially useful with the use of a Bomb Arrow, since it can deal respectable damage on a wide plane. It can be found in five shot variants.

"This Lynel bow is made from a special steel found at the peak of Death Mountain. It has tremendous stopping power and can pierce thick armor as easily as thin paper."

Duplex Bow

Duplex Bows are double-shot bows with a base power of 14 per arrow, base durability of 18 and base range of 40. They are favored by members of the Yiga Clan, in particular by the Yiga Footsoldiers who will occasionally teleport in close proximity to Link after he has defeated Master Kohga in the Yiga Clan Hideout.
