The mini-boss is a special enemy, that is not regarded as a regular enemy or the boss, that appears in a dungeon, generally midway through the dungeon, that you must defeat. When you have defeated the mini-boss you are rewarded with an item which is often the dungeon item eg. the ''Boomerang''. On some occasions there will not be a mini-boss in a dungeon at all and very rarely more than one mini-boss appears in a dungeon.
