Ancient Gear: Difference between revisions

Ancient Gears can be obtained by defeating almost all types of [[Guardian (Breath of the Wild)|Guardians]], with the exception being the [[Guardian Scout I]]. Additionally, Link can find an Ancient Gear by examining a decaying guardian, as well as by lifting legless guardians that are in the water, using [[Cryonis]]. Additionally, Link can purchase an Ancient Gear from the traveling merchant [[Teli]] for 120 [[Rupee]]s. While Teli normally only sells an [[Ancient Screw]], [[Ancient Spring]], and Ancient Gear, he has a rainy day special, where Link can purchase two Ancient Gears for the same price of 120 rupees.

This material can be used in creating ancient equipment at the [[Akkala Ancient Tech Lab]]. Ancient Gears are used in the manufacturing of an [[Ancient Shield]], [[Ancient Spear]], and [[Ancient Bow]]. It is also used to purchase all items from the [[Ancient Armor]] set, such as the [[Ancient Helm]], [[Ancient Cuirass]], and [[Ancient Greaves]]. When Link upgrades the Ancient Armor at the [[Great Fairy]], he will need at least 10 Ancient Gears for the second upgrade. Link can also trade an Ancient Gear with [[Kilton]] at his shop, the [[Fang and Bone]], for 10 [[Mon]] each.
