Bombfish Echo is one of the many Echoes from Echoes of Wisdom.

Echoes of Wisdom

"This dangerous fish explodes at the slightest impact and is capable of breaking weakened walls."

Echoes of Wisdom in-game description

After Zelda defeats a Bombfish, a Shimmer appears, which Zelda can examine to learn the Bombfish Echo. Bombfish echoes can be used as bombs, both outside and inside of water, and do not hurt Zelda if they explode right next to her.

Outside of water, or in very shallow water, they will start the explosion countdown immediately - however, they will flop around for a few moments and can move away from the target, unless Zelda holds them with her hands or bind to keep them in place. In deeper water, they will stay in place and not begin their countdown unless something is ZL-Targeted, they are attacked (including by Zelda) or they come in contact with a cracked surface.

They initially take 4▼ of Tri's power to summon, but once Tri reaches Lv. 4 this falls to 3▼. The ▼ are released as soon as a bombfish echo explodes.
