Sparks are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past, Sparks are invincible and can only be avoided. The first one appears within the Tower of Hera, moving in a circle surrounding the Big Chest that contains the Moon Pearl. They later appear periodically in dungeons throughout the Dark World.

Link's Awakening

Spark (LA).gif

In Link's Awakening, Sparks can be defeated by either sprinkling some Magic Powder or by using the Boomerang. In this game, defeating a Spark will turn it into Fairies that replenish Link's health.

Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Sparks have an identical look and attributes as in Link's Awakening. They can be defeated with one hit of the Boomerang and will leave behind a Fairy.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, Sparks first appear within the Fortress of Winds. They can be defeated with the Boomerang and will drop a Fairy as a reward.

Sparks are green, and appear primarily in the Eastern Temple and Hidden Ruins, where several puzzles involve guiding them into boxes.

Unusually, they do not deal direct damage to Zelda, only briefly stun. They can be defeated with ranged attacks in Swordfighter Form or from echoes - only stronger enemy echoes such as Sword Moblin Lv. 3 or Darknut Lv. 3 which deal melee damage can interact directly without being shocked - and leave a shimmer behind for learning the Spark Echo if Zelda has not already done so.
