Automaton are gadgets from Echoes of Wisdom.
Echoes of Wisdom
Automatons are crafted by Dampé and need to first be wound up in order to be used. When released they will after a variety of powerful effects on their surroundings, including the ability to defeat nearby enemies. If they take too much damage, the automatons can be destroyed.
Automatons take the forms of enemies, such as a Tektite, Zol, or an Octorok, and require Zelda to have relevant Echoes for Dampé to create them. If damaged, they can be repaired for a fee or a number of Monster Stones.
