Phantom Ganon is the secondary antagonist and a mini-boss and boss from Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

"Though it may walk on two legs, this creature is undeniably monstrous in appearance. A sinister aura permeates the air around it. You know little of its attributes or behavior, but its strength and weapon mastery make it a formidable foe. It was first sighted after the Upheaval. Its identity and origins are shrouded in mystery."

— In-game description

Phantom Ganon can appear in various locations around Hyrule's surface, as well as in the Depths. It first appears as a Gloom Spawn - a mass of five hands with eyes surrounded by gloom. After defeating the five hands, Phantom Ganon may appear.

Phantom Ganon has a variety of attacks. It wields a Demon King's Bow with which it can shoot from afar, and it can attack and charge with its weapon. It can also instantly teleport to Link's location. It is surrounded by Gloom, which will damage Link if he stands on it for too long. All damage except that of the Master Sword is reduced by 10%, except Beam Emitters, which have their damage reduced by 80% instead.

Defeating Phantom Ganon will provide Link with rare weapons and materials such as Dark Clumps, the Gloom Sword, Gloom Club, Gloom Spear, and the aforementioned Demon King's Bow.

"A monster created from the very flesh and blood of Demon King Ganondorf that will follow his bidding without hesitation. Like the Demon King it so resembles, this huge creature is a master of many weapons. It will attack its foes relentlessly and without mercy. Facing it in battle is inadvisable-unless you want a quick ticket to the afterlife."

— In-game description after defeating it in the Sanctum

A fixed Phantom Ganon encounter is set in the Sanctum of Hyrule Castle and can only be fought as part of the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest. This is composed of 5 Phantom Ganons and has two waves. If this fixed encounter is not defeated, then Link will have to fight two waves of 5 Phantom Ganons each before being able to confront Ganondorf in the Depths of Hyrule. Another fixed Phantom Ganon must be defeated in Korok Grove at the bottom of the Deku Tree Chasm to free Korok Forest from being frozen by gloom.

Ganondorf also summons 4 Phantoms during the second phase of his boss battle to overwhelm Link but if he complete the Temples, the Sages arrive at this moment to attract the attention of the Phantoms. After reducing him to 50% of his health points, Ganondorf absorbs all the phantoms left to strengthen himself, knocking out the Sages if they are present. The phantom use the model of Ganondorf in his Demon King form.
