Deelers are enemies from The Adventure of Link.[1]
The Adventure of Link
Deelers are found in the forests of Hyrule. They live in the branches of trees and descend on a silky thread to attack their prey.[2][3] There are two variations of Deeler and each varies by strength depending on whether encountered in Western Hyrule or Eastern Hyrule. Link's best option for dealing with these arachnids is side-stepping them as they descend and stabbing with a few well-timed sword slashes or meeting them in the air with an Jump Thrust.
Red Deeler
- Main article: Red Deeler
Red Deelers hang from trees and only descend to attack if Link is below them, retreating back into the trees immediately afterward.
Blue Deeler
- Main article: Blue Deeler
Blue Deelers act in a similar manner to the Red Deelers. They will also let go of their thread after getting close enough to the ground and drop down to the forest floor.[4] On the ground, they will jump to attack their victims. Blue Deelers are easiest to kill as they momentarily pause on the ground between jumps.

Non-Canon Appearances
This section describes a subject that is or may be outside the core Zelda canon. |
The Faces of Evil
Deelers appear in the same fashion as they do in The Wand of Gamelon.
The Wand of Gamelon
These spider-like enemies will crawl around on their legs, moving quickly and trying to walk into Zelda. They will usually just patrol a certain area, but if Zelda gets close by, they will walk towards her. They move rather slowly, and are quite easy to defeat. A single sword slash or sword beam to get rid of them. Certain Deelers will leave behind a valuable green ruby as a reward, while others will leave you empty handed.
