Echoes are items from Echoes of Wisdom.
They are created by scanning an object with the Tri Rod, which can then be used to recreate that object. Echoes can be used to traverse obstacles and to fight enemies. When Zelda first gains the Tri Rod, the first Echo she learns is the Table Echo, found within the jail cell of Hyrule Castle. Initially, Zelda has an Echo currency of three. Simple Echoes such as the Table Echo or a Wooden Box Echo, use only one unit to create. However, more powerful Echoes, such as ones that summon enemies, use more currency.
At anytime she can despawn these Echoes and create more, but initially, there cannot be more than three Echoes on screen at once. If a fourth Echo is placed, the initial Echo will automatically disappear.
