Stone Slab Fragments are dungeon items from Link's Awakening, which are exclusive to the original Game Boy version.
Link's Awakening
Stone Slab Fragments are found inside dungeon chests and allow Link to read the Stone Slab located in the same dungeon, which gives Link a hint to help him progress through the dungeon.[1]
In Link's Awakening DX and the 2019 Nintendo Switch remake, Stone Slab Fragments were replaced with Stone Beaks, which are paired with multiple Owl Statues per dungeon, rather than a single Stone Slab.
