Skyward Sword
The Banded Shield is the first upgrade to the wooden type of shield. It can be crafted by taking your old Wooden Shield to Gondo, the Scrap Shop owner and paying him 30 Rupees along with the necessary items to upgrade it.
The Banded Shield is much more durable than the Wooden Shield, capable of taking a great deal more hits, but as its still made of wood, it will burn to ashes, so be careful with it. Link can later upgrade the Banded Shield into the Braced Shield.
