"The Hyrulean royal family that perished 100 years ago would sometimes ride atop white horses as a display of their divine right. This white horse may be a descendant of one once ridden by royalty."
The White Horse is a special type of Horse found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
The White Horse has a distinctive white coat, with a light yellow mane and tail. It is only one to be found in Hyrule, and it lurks in the lush fields by Safula Hill, in the Ridgeland Tower Region. This horse may be a descendant of the horse that once belonged to Zelda, as seen in many of the Memories in the game, including To Mount Lanayru and the DLC memory Champion Revali's Song.
Link must tame this horse and ride it back to the nearby Outskirt Stable in order to complete the side-quest The Royal White Stallion; in order to tame the horse, the player must press the soothe button 25 times before Link's stamina runs out. Upon completion of this, Link will be rewarded with the Royal Saddle and Bridle, pieces of Horse Gear matching the ones Zelda used one hundred years before.
Apart from the aforementioned features, the horse presents otherwise average statistics compared to other wild horses, with the exception of its excellent stamina.
As part of the quest Good-Sized Horse, the White Horse can be sold to Zyle for 300 Rupees.

- Stamina: ★★★★★
- Temperament: Wild
Trivia
- Zelda's horse, as seen in To Mount Lanayru, used to have a French Braided style of mane, which is available through customization.
- It's not known what became of Zelda's horse from a century before, but the existence of the White Horse in the present day suggests that it may have survived the Calamity and became a wild horse.
- The White Horse, aside from its beauty and stamina, presents no particularly special attributes compared to other wild horses with better stats. As such, capturing the horse serves mostly cosmetic purposes.
- Keep in mind that Safula Hill and the Outskirt Stable are in different Tower Regions. Safula Hill is in the Ridgeland Tower map, while the stable is in the Central Tower map. As such, completing The Royal White Stallion by capturing the horse may prove somewhat difficult without having either of these towers activated.
Tears of the Kingdom
The White Horse can be found in Deep Akkala, directly north of Skull Lake and east of Kimayat Shrine, at coordinates (3244, 3742, 0327). It should not be confused with the Giant White Stallion, a separate breed with a different Hyrule Compendium entry, while Zelda rides a Golden Horse in the present day.
If save data from Breath of the Wild which includes the White Horse amongst Link's stabled steeds is present on the same Nintendo Switch console and Nintendo Account, then it will be available for Link to ride in Tears of the Kingdom from the first time he reaches a stable.
