2023 saw the release or occurrence of the following The Legend of Zelda games, notable items, or events.
February
- 8th: A Nintendo Direct was broadcast, with:
- Announcement of Game Boy and Game Boy Color games being added to the base Nintendo Switch Online service the same day, including Link's Awakening DX.
- Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages were amongst the Game Boy Color games promised for later release on the service.
- Announcement of Game Boy Advance games being added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass service the same day, including The Minish Cap.
- A new trailer for Tears of the Kingdom, plus a new Link amiibo to tie in with the game.
- Announcement of Game Boy and Game Boy Color games being added to the base Nintendo Switch Online service the same day, including Link's Awakening DX.
March
- 28th: A Gameplay Demonstration for Tears of the Kingdom by Eiji Aonuma was released.
