Stals are enemies from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.
A Link to the Past
Stals look like a harmless skull, but when Link makes contact with it, it will come alive, hopping towards him. These creatures are found throughout the Overworld, often found alongside standards skulls that do not come alive when touched.
If a Stal is able to come into contact with Link, it will do a full heart of damage. These enemies are easily disposed of, being defeated with one slash from Link's Master Sword. The Stal are also one of the enemies that Link can turn into Slime by sprinkling Magic Powder.
