Dragon Scales are items which give the Rito their wings in The Wind Waker, and treasures from Spirit Tracks.
The Wind Waker
The Rito are not born with their wings, they get them after they are given a scale by "the great dragon" Valoo.[1]
Spirit Tracks
Dragon Scales are uncommon treasures that are scattered across various regions and dungeons of New Hyrule. They are needed for the purchase of the following Train Parts (number required in brackets):
- Wooden Passenger Car/Wooden Car ×1
- Heavy Cannon ×2
- Skull Cannon/Ghoul Cannon ×1
- Stagecoach Engine/Stagecoach ×3
- Cake Passenger Car/Fruity Car ×3
- Royal Passenger Car/Golden Car ×4
They can also be sold for 150 rupees.
