King Gustaf is a character from The Minish Cap. King Gustaf was a former King of Hyrule, and is deceased since the beginning of the game. He first appears to Link after he collects the Water Element and directs Link to his grave in the Royal Crypt. Once Link has arrived, the king gives Link a Golden Kinstone piece which is required to open the "source of the flow", a stone door in Veil Falls. Link can then catch an updraft to the Cloud Tops, where he can proceed to obtain the Wind Element.
