The Deeler is a spider-like enemy that appears in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
Appearances
The Adventure of Link
The Deelers are spiders that can be found only in the forests. They live in the branches of trees and only come down from the trees on a silky thread to attack their prey.[1][2] There are two variations of Deeler and each varies by strength depending on whether encountered in Western Hyrule or Eastern Hyrule. Link's best option for dealing with these arachnids is side-stepping them as they descend and stabbing with a few well-timed sword slashes or meeting them in the air with an Upward Thrust.
Red Deeler
Red Deelers hang from trees and only descent to attack if Link is below them, retreating back into the trees immediately afterwords.
Blue Deeler
Blue Deelers act in a similar manner as the Red Deelers. They will also let go of their thread after getting close enough to the ground and drop down to the forest floor.[3] On the ground, they will jump to attack their victims. A few sword slash will kill them.
