The Astral Observatory is a room located deep within Hyrule Castle, under the Sanctum, in Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild

The Astral Observatory is where Link fights Calamity Ganon after the latter breaks free of the pod in the Sanctum where Zelda held him in near-stasis for a hundred years. It is the interior of a dome with red walls marked with constellations and a black floor. The lower trim of the walls show important landmarks around Hyrule - such as the Divine Beasts - showing their position relative to the Observatory.

A small part of the Observatory's wall can be seen from a hidden room in Hyrule Castle Library. The distance between it and the real location of the Observatory is quite large, implying that the walls of the Observatory is very thick, or that there are other areas in the ancient Sheikah building unseen in-game.
