"This sandy beach spirals out into the Akkala Sea. It makes for a splendid view but is inhabited by monsters, so if you are going to go on a stroll down by the beach, caution is recommended. There is a legend passed down since ancient times that carrying an ancient orb to the center of the swirl will cause a shrine to appear."

The area is filled with dangerous enemies, including a variety of Bokoblins, Moblins, Lizalfos, and Water Octoroks. At the end of the peninsula, Link will find the Ritaag Zumo Shrine.
Into the Vortex
- Main article: Into the Vortex
Just southeast of Malin Bay on the higher elevation, Link will find an Ancient Orb next to a tablet. Upon examining the tablet, this will begin the Into the Vortex quest. This requires Link to bring the orb to the center of the peninsula, causing the Ritaag Zumo Shrine to be revealed.
