An Orange Rupee is a variation of a Rupee that has appeared in a total of six Zelda games. These games include The Legend of Zelda,Majora's Mask, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.
Orange Rupees are large valued Rupees found within The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

Values
The Wind Waker
Orange Rupees first appear in The Wind Waker where they are valued at 100 rupees. There are a whole bunch of locations where Link can find orange rupees, including salvaging for treasure, playing mini-games, and inside specific hidden chests.

In each game an Orange Rupee has appeared in, the value has varied. The range is from 1, to 200 rupees.
Locations
*Grandma's House - Link can crawl underneath Grandma's House to find a treasure chest which contains an orange rupee.
*Sinking Ships - For scoring 19 points or less and beating the record.
*Sword Training - For scoring between 300 and 499 points at Orca's Sword Training mini-game.
*Big Octo - Defeat the Big Octo at the Private Oasis.
*Big Octo - Defeat the Big Octo at Fire Mountain.
*Big Octo - Defeat the Big Octo at Diamond Steppe Island.
*Warships - Clear the two Warships just south of Rock Spire Isle and salvage the treasure to get a Piece of Heart and an Orange Rupee.
*Barrel Shoot - If Link wins the Barrel Shoot mini-game a second time and all subsequent times.
*Golden Feather - Give 20 Golden Feathers to Hoskit at Dragon Roost Island.
*Dragon Roost Island - After acquiring the Deku Leaf, exit the Rito Aerie near the Mail Sorting. Change the wind to the northeast and float over to the island in the distance. Change the wind again and float north and then west to reach a cave where three a chest with the rupees.

Twilight Princess
Orange Rupees appear in Twilight Princess and remain valued at 100 rupees. Orange rupees can be found as rewards for playing mini-games and in various locations throughout Hyrule.

In the original NES classic, an Orange Rupee has a value of a single rupee. That's right. If Link picked up an Orange Rupee, it was basically worth the next equivalent to zero.
Locations
*Ordon Village - Behind Rusl's house. Link can use the Gale Boomerang to grab the rupee.
*Falbi's Flight-by-Fowl - Play the mini-game at Lake Hylia and land at the top platform to get the orange rupee.

The next Zelda game the Orange Rupee appeared in was Majora's Mask. In this game, the Orange Rupee has a much bigger value than in the original. An Orange Rupee was worth 200 Rupees. That's more than Link could fit into the wallet he had at the beginning of the game!

Oracle Series
The Orange Rupee appeared in both Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, and had 3 different values. The Orange Rupee could have been worth 1 rupee, 5 rupees, or 20 rupees.

Wind Waker
In The Wind Waker, an Orange Rupee had a value of 100 rupees, making it the second most valueable rupee variation in the entire game. The first would be a Silver Rupee, which was worth 200 rupees.

Twilight Princess
The Orange Rupee made its final appearance in Twilight Princess. It shared the same characteristics as the Wind Waker's variation.

Rarity
The Orange Rupee is a pretty strange variation. It could be as common as being found in grass, i.e. the original Zelda, or as rare as being found in only a limited amount of chests throughout the land, i.e. Twilight Princess.
