The Picori Blade is first attached to the [[Bound Chest]] and is presented to the winner of the sword-fighting tournament, [[Vaati]], at the award ceremony. He earned the honor of touching it, but he has other intentions. He shatters the Picori Blade, looking in the Bound Chest for what he sought for, but doesn't find anything inside it. Link consequently receives the broken Picori Blade inside the [[Hyrule Castle]] from [[King Daltus]] to search for someone in the [[Minish]] world to reforge the sacred blade. However, he cannot use it from the beginning of the game due to the fact that it is broken. Link will need the [[Elements (The Minish Cap)|four elements]] in order to reforge it, specifically the [[Elements (The Minish Cap)#Earth Element|Earth Element]], [[Elements (The Minish Cap)#Fire Element|Fire Element]], [[Elements (The Minish Cap)#Water Element|Water Element]] and the [[Elements (The Minish Cap)#Wind Element|Wind Element]].
