— Echoes of Wisdom in-game description
After Zelda learns to make a Boulder Echo, she can use it anywhere in the world, causing a Boulder to appear on the ground. Boulders are heavy objects that can add weight to objects it is on top of. In side-scrolling segments, boulders can be placed on top of floating items such as Wooden Boxes, causing them to sink down. They can also protect Zelda or other items from the gusts of a Wind Cannon, flame cannon or ice cannon.
