Ancestor's Cave of Rest Rift is a Main Quest in Echoes of Wisdom.
Overview
As part of the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert Quest, Zelda needs to travel beneath the sand to reach the Gerudo Sanctum, but the Gerudo chief won't let her. After meeting with Dohna at the Oasis, Zelda is tasked with proving her usefulness and clearing the three small rifts in the area.
Within the Ancestor's Cave of Rest, there is a Rift that is blocking the path that leads to the torches. The Gerudo inside is worried about the torches and does not know what to do, which triggers the start of the quest.[1]
Requirements
- Progress in the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert quest.
Walkthrough
- As part of the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert, Zelda will eventually travel to the Oasis to meet with Dohna. The chief won't let Zelda investigate below the sand so in order to prove her usefulness, Dohna has tasked Zelda with helping eliminate three of the smaller rifts.
- Travel to the far north end of the Gerudo Desert and enter the cave here to enter the Ancestor's Cave of Rest.
- Speak to the Gerudo guard here to begin the quest.
- Use Bind to move the large boulder and head left a screen.
- Defeat the Holmills here that are in the ground and learn the Holmill Echo.
- Use Bind again to move the large boulder and climb down the ladder.
- Stand on the sand and use the Holmill Echo. This creates a whole through the sand so that Zelda can drop down below.
- If Zelda creates a hole at the far left of the sand, it will lead down to a treasure chest that contains a Golden Egg.
- Climb up the ladders on the right side to resurface.
- Use an Ignizol Echo to light the two torches here.
- Zelda will appear back across the rift and after speaking with the Gerudo, this will complete the quest.
