Gargoyles are enemies from Cadence of Hyrule, The Faces of Evil, and The Wand of Gamelon.
Cadence of Hyrule
Gargoyles appear in Hyrule Castle in Cadence of Hyrule. They come in four different colors: green, purple, blue, and yellow. Each Gargoyle spits out orbs of its color which will hurt every character except the one it is associated with. Green is associated with Link, purple with Zelda, blue with Cadence, and yellow with Yves. The blue variations only appear in the castle after activating a Shrine of Blues.
The Faces of Evil
Gargoyles appear in The Faces of Evil in largely the same fashion as their The Wand of Gamelon counterparts.
The Wand of Gamelon
Gargoyles are fairly large dragon enemies that fly towards Zelda. While their green appearance makes them look frightening, their attacks are not too strong. In fact, a Gargoyle's only attack is simply flying right into Zelda. They move rather slowly, and their large targets make them rather easy to defeat. One sword beam or sword slash will take care of them. Since they are often found in areas that require Zelda to jump around, it is best to defeat them as soon as they appear.
